ABOUT THE ARTIST: Kyla Rae Design is an artist owned and operated studio based in Portland, Oregon that sells art, prints, cards, and graphic tees featuring Kyla’s work. She uses watercolor and ink to create botanical and natural science illustrations to explore the life cycle, and document her favorite plants, animals, mushrooms, and more. Her art style is inspired by 19th and early 20th century works by botanical illustrators which gives them a vintage vibe. She creates all of her work and screen prints her shirts by hand at her home studio. She hopes her work brings people closer to nature and brings more curiosity and awareness about our fragile ecosystems.
