Bamboo and Rising Sun. Original Sumi-e Painting. Ink on Rice Paper. Japanese Suibokuga Art. Chinese Wall Decor. – Etsy

Dimensions in inches: 10×14″ Original painting of bamboo shoots with a rising sun in the background. It is made with Chinese and Japanese ink on Chinese rice paper. In Japan, sun symbolizes the goddess Amaterasu, a mythological founder of Japan. As the legend goes, all emperors in Japan are descendants of the goddess, “Sons of the Sun”. Bamboo is a very popular symbol throughout Asia, it has many positive meanings – strength, resilience, and growth. It is a symbol of good luck, moral integrity and strong character. The quiet beauty of bamboo and the Sun is a classical composition, that’s been admired for centuries in poetry, calligraphy, and art. The painting is signed with my personal seal, dry mounted on backing rice paper and ready to be framed or mounted on a scroll. Please use acid-free adhesives when framing. The painting is manually cut, please leave a few mm error margin for dimensions. Note that colours may differ due to differences in devices. Check out more of my art at https://yasamt.etsy.com
