I have often watched fantails dart from the dark interiors of dense garden trees and dance around in the air catching insects. I was never quick or close enough to catch their aerobatics and flashing wings. This shot was taken as one leaves its perch and shows the beauty of the wings and tail of a sprightly garden regular.
