Sometimes the smallest actions can cause the biggest changes, especially when the person is in a troubling situation. That’s what inspired Lieutenant-colonel Robert Risdon to do an act of kindness for two boys completely out of the blue. The kids had taken an interest in him one evening, and rather than telling them to leave him alone, he asked about their situation. Their response left him heartbroken, but it spurred him to offer a helping hand when they needed it most. We can see why this man is fighting for his country. It isn’t hard to do something to help out someone else. The smallest gesture can go a long way for the people who need it most, and karma always does an excellent job of paying you back. A selfless action here and there won’t hurt you, but it’ll probably make you feel a lot better about yourself.
